Not long ago my friend and I successfully achieved one of our goals for 2009.  We both joined EFFEX 180 and from that point we have never looked back. 

We have evolved a unique buddy up system to our weekly workout routines.  We make a point of setting aside time to meet each other 3 times a week at EFFEX 180 and we make a point of keeping that commitment.

Working out with a friend not only keeps us accountable but also offers many other unexpected advantages.  Every other day, we arrive to greet each other with a smile and a positive outlook to that day’s workout training.  The hour that we spend together seems to go by so quickly and with a few words of encouragement our training sessions are that much more rewarding.  We can always do a few more reps on the circuit if we see each other working those extra sets as well.  We always try to push each other to achieve our best. 

It truly is much easier to commit to working out knowing that you will have the support of your friend there. Julie and Sheila

MEMBERSHIP HOLD POLICY

All membership hold requests require the completion and submission of a Membership Hold Request Form. Completed forms must be received in the EFFEX 180 studio by the 15th of the month to initiate a reduced hold fee effective the next month or allow for an absence to effectively extend a prepaid membership.

Specifically, hold is a minimum of one (1) month and applies from the 1-30/31st of the month.

FREEDOM memberships may hold for up to three (3) consecutive months. Minimum of one (1) month activation (full fees paid) required before additional hold, change of membership or cancellation may be placed on membership. Some exceptions apply.

Limited & specific LIFESTYLE memberships may hold up to two (2) months per twelve months minimum payment.

Members will not be allowed to sign in while their membership is on hold. However if you wish to workout once or twice while your membership is on hold you may do so at the current drop-in fee or arrange for re-activation with studio staff.

MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION POLICY

All ongoing^* memberships require the completion and submission of a Membership Cancellation Form. Please note that requests for cancellation without the proper completion and submission of said form will be not be valid. Completed forms must be received in the EFFEX 180 studio by the 15^th of the month to terminate membership, where applicable, by months end. Submissions by email must be confirmed as being received by EFFEX 180 to be considered a valid request. A fee will be applied to cancellations that have not met the terms and conditions of the specific membership purchased.

^**LIFESTYLE memberships can be cancelled without penalty providing the 12th full monthly  payment has been made. If you wish to cancel your membership before the end of the contract you can do so by buying out your contract in accordance with the following formula.

# of months left in contract x monthly rate - 20% of total + GST = balance owing.

If you would still like to cancel please submit your cancellation form and contact us with your payment preference. The balance owing may be paid by MasterCard, VISA, debit or cash.
 

MEMBERSHIP EXTENSION POLICY

For memberships offering vacation/medical leave, the benefit will be noted specifically on the membership agreement signed at the time of purchase.

Vacation Extension
Vacation extensions require a completed Vacation and Medical Leave Extension Application available in the studio to be submitted within one week of returning. Validated extensions will be applied to the member’s account.   All extensions are     non-accruing, have no cash value and are subject to approval by EFFEX 180 Inc. management.   

Medical Leave Extension
Medical leave extensions require a completed Vacation and Medical Leave Extension Application available in the studio and a note from an Alberta Health Care registered health care professional (i.e. medical doctor, registered physical therapist or, chiropractor) to be submitted upon return. Validated extensions will be applied to the member’s account.   All extensions are non-accruing, have no cash value and are subject to approval by EFFEX 180 Inc. management.
